9ct yellow gold 15x13mm Gents solid heavy reverse hand engraved Lion Rampant seal signet. The lion rampant is one of the oldest crests and is the crest for Scotland. The crest is on the top of the helmet in a coat of arms and began as something to hold the silk mantle on. This was soaked in water to keep the armor cool in the sun. It is featured as a crest in the arms in the following British families.
